Remi Moses, APCC
I specialize in supporting neurodivergent adolescents and adults, artists, actors, and individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. My approach is creative, collaborative, and affirming, blending evidence-based therapy with curiosity, play, and authentic self-expression to help clients build meaningful, lasting change.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent years working as an actor and acting coach, experiences that continue to shape my work today. I earned my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lesley University, where I specialized in Drama Therapy. Since then, I have worked with clients experiencing substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, and a wide range of mental health concerns in private practice and community settings. For the past four years, I have focused on supporting neurodivergent teens and adults, helping clients develop realistic goals while creating space for creativity, self-discovery, and growth.
My therapeutic approach is trauma-informed, client-centered, and strengths-based. I integrate evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), expressive arts interventions, and drama therapy techniques, tailoring each session to meet your unique needs. I believe the stories we tell about ourselves shape how we experience the world. Together, we will explore the roles you've taken on throughout your life, identify patterns that may no longer serve you, and create new narratives that better reflect your strengths, values, and authentic self.
I believe therapy should be a place where healing is not only possible but something to celebrate. Whether you are seeking support as a neurodivergent individual, creative professional, adolescent, or someone recovering from trauma, I strive to create a space where you feel safe enough to be honest, take meaningful risks, and reconnect with your authentic voice. Together, we'll develop a personalized plan that honors your strengths, supports your goals, and helps you build a richer, more connected relationship with yourself.
MORE ABOUT DRAMA THERAPY
Pioneered by Jacob Moreno in the 1920’s, drama therapy is the intentional use of drama techniques like roleplaying, storytelling, performance, and improvisation in the therapeutic space. No acting experience needed -- just a sense of play and curiosity! Artmaking is never a requirement in our sessions, but always an option.
