Tanya Treshinsky, AMFT
As an LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist and member of the community myself, I am passionate about creating a welcoming, supportive space where clients can show up authentically and feel understood without judgment.
If you're navigating ADHD, autism, identity exploration, relationship challenges, anxiety, depression, or the impact of past trauma, I am committed to creating a safe space for you to navigate the process of exploration and healing.
I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from California Lutheran University and over six years of experience working in the mental health field. My professional experience has primarily involved supporting children in foster care, individuals experiencing emotional and behavioral regulation challenges, and parents navigating the reunification process. Through this work, I developed a deep appreciation for the ways our relationships, environments, and life experiences shape how we move through the world.
My approach is collaborative, affirming, and tailored to the unique needs of each client. I believe meaningful change happens when people feel seen, supported, and empowered to explore their experiences with curiosity and self-compassion. Whether you are navigating neurodivergence, relationship concerns, identity exploration, or healing from past trauma, I strive to create a therapeutic space that honors your individual experiences and strengths.
I work from an attachment-based and systemic perspective, helping clients better understand the patterns, relationships, and experiences that have shaped who they are today. Together, we explore how past experiences may influence present challenges while developing practical tools, greater self-awareness, and new ways of relating to yourself and others.
I value authenticity, connection, and the therapeutic relationship as foundations for growth and healing. My goal is to help clients deepen emotional understanding, strengthen self-awareness, and build confidence in navigating life's challenges while creating more fulfilling relationships with themselves and the people around them.
